Here at St. John's, as at most other Orthodox churches of Southern California, we have a youth basketball program which is part of our GOYA ministry. We have both boys' as well as girls' teams, depending on how many participants we have each year. Our teams compete against other Orthodox Church teams. This program is designed to promote fellowship as well as various spiritual values which are related to competitive sport.
